Hello everyone
i am going to attempt to turn my 2009 street glide into a tri glide.this will be the biggest project I have undertaken.
don’t know how to do things in this forum but I might try to document the process.

What conversion are you going with? Hannigan converted my 2011 Street Glide, back in 2015, and it's been great ever since.

It's a shame the Mods treat conversion trikes like a red-headed stepchild, here. Guess they consider us a threat to TG's and FW's.

 

Seriously? Yes, we created a section for Harley made Trikes and a separate one for conversions, just to punish you. How ridiculous!!

i am going with all Harley tri glide parts with the exception of suspension I think

 

My message was in response to the other guy.

 

How are you sourcing your parts ? If you buy them directly from Harley, it would be cheaper just to buy a TriGlide.

If you are going with an aftermarket kit to do it you have many options out there . Like Clint said he did his with the Hannigan company. They do all the conversion themselves. There are both solid rear suspension, and independent suspension kits for the Harleys.

It all depends on what ideas you have for the finished project. Also how much your budget can afford.

 

Putting it together with used parts. Only thing I have left to get is a triple tree,tail lights and exhaust adapter.

 

Maybe the answer is much simpler, they have a separate section because they are not Tri Glides, and they are not Freewheelers...
