That is some incredible footage considering how long ago that was shot. I am glad someone was able to preserve the footage to share with us.

They looked like they were running pretty fast. Anyone have any ideawhta kind of speedsthey'd have been running?

That truly is amazing. I'm blown away by the speeds they appeared to be hitting! Holy mackerel.

 

According to the end of the film a speed of 212 kph or 132 mph was attained.

 

Nice find. Those guys were nuts.

 

 

That first film is AWESOME!!!
I heard if those guys go down that often the wood splinters from the track
would go right through the racer's thigh or forearm OUCH!!!!!!!!
