Gopro Sissy Bar Mount Test
1 Attachment(s)
I was working on a little project this weekend. I got a monopod camera mount for my gopro and attached it to my sissy bar so it was up several feet looking down at me. I did a short ride around my neighborhood to see how it worked. It vibrates a lot at idle, but smooths out at speed. It shakes a lot on bumps, so I'm going to try and cushion it a bit more. I think it's a cool looking angle though. Attached is a picture of how it looks with the mount on (people looked at me like I was crazy) and here is a link to the video test.

Pretty sick, I've been thinking about a way to make this work. I was thinking of something that would screw into the pass pillion seat screw, but yours is better. Now get some freeway lane splitting shots!

Thanks! - yep..I'm planning on filming on the way to work this week. I split 15 miles there so it will be good.

Adding one more video I shot over the weekend. A few more angles. This was a ride out to Highway 74 outside of Lake Elsinore, CA.

Great job and excellent angle.
I saw a video on the ducati forum where the camera was being towed behind the bike on a device like a skateboard. It was an excellent angle on twisty roads where the bike was leaning over but the camera stayed upright. |
I love the stop you made at the 4 way stop on the first video. What town was that in?
And, I ride the Ortega Highway a lot from San Juan Capistrano to Elsinore but don't remember that long underpass in the beginning of the video. Oh, yeah, great videos. Really link the one with the mount on the sissy bar. |
