This is my guess as well since we know internal broken injector wires are common in those bikes from the injector wires being ty wrapped to the frame. The engine shakes which works the wire back and forth annealing the wire inside until it breaks. Once broken the outer sheathing will keep the connection...until the wire’s sheathing warms up and allows the broken wire to separate effectively shutting off the affected cylinder. Let the bike cool off and the wire makes connection again...until it warms again.
