Default 18mm O2 port placement 2006 RK

Hello all

I have a thundermax autotune and I am looking to weld in the 18mm bungs to the stock headers. I am trying to find the best place for the O2 sensor on rear cylinder with the stock crossover. How far away from the heads are you guys putting them?

Million dollar question with a cross over. BUT half inch or so below where the left pipe comes into it. I would also look at installing the freeze plug deal or the Zippers Performance pop stopper I believe it is called.

Just copy an 08. Here are some pics. Be sure to leave room for heat shield clamp and remember things like the frame needing clearance - mock it up on the bike.

Nice find. I will see what I can come up with.

If you are going to keep the stock headpipe, you either need to plug the left pipe or run real restrictive mufflers. If you don't air gets into the rear sensor and the Tmax adds too much fuel.

BTW a real good pipe to run with that systems is either the Khrome Werks or SnS 2-1-2 pipe. They have the sensor bungs already welded in.

I wish I could afford a new set. I am on a super tight budget up fitting this to our ministry bike. Ideally I would have a 2-1 from D&D or Fuel Moto eventually.

Needs more restriction on left muffler. Good advice Max.

That's correct. A set of reasonably quiet mufflers will work also..

A freeze plug with a half inch hole in the left hand pipe where the muffler slips on: see pic.

Or the Zippers piece. https://www.zippersperformance.com/d...p-stopper.html

Full sac has a great solution of dealing with the y pipe. Pretty cheap alternative.
