Default EFI Race Tuner Use on 2008/2005 Models

This is an EXCERPT from a recently released Tech Tip ...... It is not ALL INCLUSIVE..... And this is for INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.

This concerns the recently released version of EFI Race Tuner (part #32107-01H) which includes the software disc, version 476(part # 32117-01L).It has just been determined that it is not compatible with ECM part # 32852-08A; this will impact its use on any 2008 VRSC, Dyna and Softail Models that use this ECM. At this time the -08A ECM should be limited to use on CVO models, but it is suggested you verify the ECM part # prior to installing EFI Tuner. Currently the software is compatible with 32852-08 and 2008 XL and Touring ECM’s. Additionally the software has been tested to work on models with ECM part # 32534-05C, which is the service replacement ECM for 2001-2008 models.Tech Service does have 2 EFI Tuner Calibrations that will work with this -08A ECM. If you have a vehicle with the -08A ECM and you are installing an EFI Tuner, you will need to open the attachments to this Tech Tip and Save the 2 files on your computer. It has also been determined that the new software, version 476 has issues communicating with ECM part # 32534-05; it may quit installing at 20%. The solution is to reinstall software version 462 for this ECM. This issue is only known to effect the -05 ECM, the -05A/B/C are not affected. Again, verifying ECM part # prior to installing EFI Tuner is the best practice. The issue does not lie within the ECM, they are not faulty, and we ask that you do not replace them to correct this issue. Any ECM’s returned to warranty that are found to be functioning correctly will be rejected
