How do you retreive 2006 Dyna trouble codes

I just bought a 2006 Dyna Low Rider today and took a 50 mile ride and the engine light came on and stayed on. How do you retreive 2006 Dyna trouble codes?

PowerCobra98,
Thank you. Do you also have a copy of the codes? I ordered the service manuals but they are on back order.

No, I don't have an electronic copy of them.

You can post your code though and I'll be happy to try and tell you what it means.

PowerCobra98,
Thank You, I started checking everything on my bike and found loose battery connections and a broken connector under the seat, I corrected those three items and took the bike out for a ride and the engine light didn't come back on. I used the procedure that you posted and found a code in memory P0154 and did a search for that code on this site which turned out to be rear o2 sensor open not responding (the broken connector) Thanks again for the help.

That's kind of sad on a brand new bike. Sounds like the dealer really went over it with a fine toothed comb.:D
