I'd like to see the pictures of the tach too, I'd like to add one on but am torn between the cost of the combo, vs what the handle bar tach would look like.

pirate,

Better pics of the tach,

I dont know if you can tell but my tach follows the line of the risers on my deuce well.

It really looks like it came stock on the bike.

This tach was made only for the deuce but the only differenceit is the way the mount attaches around the bars instead of muonting to the bolts that hold the bars.

I think it was money well spent. I dont even look at the speedo anymore just the tach.

Hope the pics help.

that look great, and you can see it going down the road at 80. Was it a off the shelf bracket?

The tank mount tacs look cool but I'd prefer the handle bar mount for driving. Looking down all the time would get old for my tastes.

styx,

It was a off the shelf item. I think 175 dollers but it might of been cheaper. It was special for the deuce but they make them for all bikes. It comes with the tach, mount, chrome housing, wires, fuse, and everything else. Including the wire ties.
It was engineered well for the bike. If i was to of mounted a aftermarket it would of been alot more af a hassle.
The worst part of the job was taking the tank loose and lifting it up alittle to run wires under. I didnt take tank off like the instructions said to.

Hope you find what you like.

You may want to consider a digital readout tach. (Dakota Digital Single Gauge Instrument System) $437 retail from J&P Cycles pg 336 2005 Catalog
