Hey IronMick, The video looks like it has a different tank then the picture you have posted next to your name. In the picture is that a roadster (XLS 3.6 gal) tank? And if so how many more mile can you get of that tank compared to the stander (XLH 3.0gal) sporty tank?

Picked this 75 up a few weeks ago, had been sitting for a few years and the guy was desperate for money. $2000 Cleaned the tank and carb and she fired right up.

Yes, it is an original paint/decal 1980 XLS 3.6 gal Roadster tank. I typically get about 12 miles per kilometer [Canada, eh].

The Roadster tank holds 11 Km plus 1 Km reserve so ~132 miles before reserve, and perhaps another 12 on reserve.

The 3.1 gallon King tank holds ~8 liters before reserve. I recall getting about 100 miles from it before reserve which would be about right [8 * 12 == 96]. I do not recall how much was there after reserve.

You can't upload a picture to this site, you have to use a hosting site like Photobucket.com (others use different sites). Create a free account for yourself, then upload the picture there. Then select the picture you want, and click once on the IMG code that appears off to the right of the picture (when you click on the IMG code, it should say "Copied"), Then paste that IMG code here in your post by putting your mouse cursor where you want the picture to appear and doing a "Ctrl V".

Here's a picture from a couple years ago of my '69 short chop build, which is proceeding at a snail's pace:

Really nice bike man - that thing has been looked after and has some nice aftermarket mods/parts - great find.

Hey Mick, I think you meant to say the tank holds 11 Litres (Lt not Km) and you get about 12 miles per litre (not kilometre) Metric already screws up our American cousins enough without confusing matters more:-) LOL

WOW sweat looking hardtail. I take it, its its still in the mock up stage in the picture, because your frame is bare metal. Thanks for pic's upload info.
