Great review! Very interesting to hear about and see all the comments. I think electric is a wave that's coming like it or not. I think it ends up bringing a whole new set of customers out that haven't considered a motorcycle before, and all manufacturers are desperate to get new riders out there. I'm doubtful it'll ever fully replace gas, but will be more prevalent all around.

Doing a little research. Getting ready to dump the Road Glide for an electric motorcycle. Thanks for the post. I’m kind of flip flopping between this bike or a Zero.

If it does what you want to do, where you want, all is well.

As for me, electric vehicles are not as useful as my gas and diesel powered items.

You'll not see a 750+ mile day on a electric vehicle with out a support crew for several years.

My iron butt and noisy motorcycle days are long done. I'm looking for something different. Yeah, I'm not willing to fully give up gasoline yet, but my motorcycle is a good place to dip my toes in the water. In the next year or two, one of my other vehicles will get swapped to an EV. I switched my boat over to electric power about five years ago, and that has exceeded my wildest expectations, which honestly was not much. The motorcycle is next on the list.

An Iron Butt, 1000 miles in less than 23 hours, has already been done on a Livewire.

750+ mile day is easily possible, just requires a lot of planning around charging.

I did my part, I bought an EV bicycle to give me assistance riding the hills out here in the country. It has settings from no assist all the way up to full assist. Has 45 mile range, so it’s good to run to town (7 miles away) if I’m not carrying much back. I’ll keep my gas powered Sportster, UTV, lawn mower, truck, and car until they stop selling gas around here. But that’s not gonna happen out in the country in South Carolina for a real long time, due to lack of charging options and low to no income residents.

Does the Live Wire make my 56 Panhead obsolete?
