    Thanks Jeff appreciate the input.
It’s not that late, bikes still hibernating here in the frozen north!

    Hey Troop,
Saw your thread from last year talking about head units.
I am trying to decide between the to you spoke of the Sony mex70 and jvc kdr97. I’m in Canada and can get the jvc locally for about 150.us (then warranty isn’t an issue)and the Sony I’d have to get through the US for 120.(warranty a bit of an issue)
Just looking for some advice as to which way to go. Ease of use, readability in sunlight, dependability.
Any advice you can offer I’d appreciate.
    Also it’s going in a 10 ultra with a soundstream pn1000
    Many thanks,
    Ken

Hey troop, been a while. How are things? I got crazy and picked up a '65 first year Electraglide panhead last year, in great condition. 74ci, solid top end, an updated, longer swingarm, and add-on disc brakes. Got everything to convert it back, for collector's purposes too. It's set up with bags, touring seat, plenty of chrome too. Last spring I bolted a set of the S&S 551 easy start cams into my trike. Wow, a wider powerband than 204's or 255's, pulls smooth and strong from 1200 Rpm to around 4500, holding over 94 foot pounds to 4200. Real smooth around town, and enough stomp to get a bit crazy at times. I can tow @ 95 with cruise on, without overheating. I am amazed how they work so well, with only 216 degrees intake duration, and intake timing at 17/19. Idles down main street at 1000, no shit. Hey, the display on my HD issued Harmon Kardon went out, IF you were doing it again, would you get the Pioneer again, or another rig? I already have the Sirius sattelite adapter, and HD 5.25 coaxes rear, and HOG Tunes 5.25 front. I wanna' add a sub magnet and armature in my rear tour pack, using the lid as the radiator. Works well with a big amp behind it. Radios I've looked at are around a Grand, I am open for your

Hey Frenchie !! 80's here too before the hail/t-storms slam us about 7pm tonite. My bikes at the shop Over the winter I had some motor work done to the bike. Did 103"/Andrews 54H cams/.030 head gaskets and full head work. Took it to the shop yesterday for some map tweaking and the check engine light popped on. I thought the worse but it appears to be electrical related like a pinched/chafed wire. That's a bummer BUT the tech is going to throw it on a dyno and fine tune it for a break in map for free AND they gave me a promotional collapsible H-D oil can cooler/can coozies ($60 value) for the inconvenience. I can miss a few days of riding for that . Enjoy the ride today and hopefully hook up with you in Culpepper as my plan is to join Ebes/Motr for the trip.. Jeff
