Saw you have a modified early FXST. Im having a hard time finding the OEM swing arm debris deflector, the one in front of the rear tire. Happen to still have that laying around/would you want to sell it?

Hi Tom wondering if you ever finished that Shovelhead streetglide that was one hell of a
    build you had going there.

Hey I also have a primo belt drive. I noticed you left your tensioner in the inner primary?? On my evo the instructions told me to remove the tensioner?? What is the reason you left it in?? And does that tensioner have some sort of roller to it??

Hi, I too have an 84 FXST. I've been following your posts on your 200 and 250 tire change, excellent job. I was wondering if you know what would be the widest rear tire that would fit on a stock 84 FXST. I want to keep the bike as close to stock as possible however I would change the rear fender and wheel if necessary. If I'm correct one of the main clearance problems is the chain. I have approximately 1/2" between the stock tire and the chain. I've done some calculations and I'm pretty sure a 140/90 B16 would fit and a 150/80 B16 would be damn tight if not too tight. I've also toyed with the idea of changing the swingarm to accommodate a wider tire as you did by using a swingarm from a 2007 and up and modifying the frame. I'm a welder/fabricator/mechanic so there wouldn't be any problem with the conversion.Would you know what swingarms would work? I know that 84/85 were odd ball years and it's difficult sometimes to find after market parts for those years. Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated.

What LED light strip is on the back of your bike? And do you have an LED strip on the front for the blinkers? I'm looking to do something like that. Is that the original fender or did you have to get a new one and paint it?

Can you tell me how to paint my bike flat black with rattle can and what to buy. I've heard the paint will not be right without a clearcoat but I don't want it shiny. Thanks
