I have recently purchased an used Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 Custom from the year 2000. It is my first bike and I really love it! I rode for the first time on Wednesday evening and it was great! I am still getting used to riding a motorcycle and am still not as confident as I should be.

Being a Harley fan, riding it was a dream come true after many year of wishing for it. I don't care what anybody says about Harley's, these bikes have an edge over many Japanese cruisers. Even though Suzuki or Honda produces great looking copies of Harley's and are cheaper they aren't the real thing for me.

Aside from the engines performance etc... the bike is also a great looker and sounds formidable thanks to its Screaming eagle exhausts. People stand in awe when my Harley passes by. Wednesday evening I parked my Harley next to a bar and people went outside to look at it. Girls want to sit on it and ofcourse I let them.

I fully understand now that riding a Harley is addictive. Most of the people from my neighourhood love the sound of the engine exept my neighbours wife who complained to my wife that it was too loud. She'll just have to get freaking used to it because it is here to stay!
