Looks like you were in Matsuyama the same year we moved here (for the 2nd time) 10 years ago. I actually didn't start riding a Harley until 2008. They have a LOT of great riding here, but I really would like something more nimble (in addition to my Harley), yet still rumbly like a Buell or Ducati, to navigate some of the really narrow and twisty roads here. If you're ever over here again, PM me. I'll arrange for a bike for you, we'll meet up and go for a ride...

Closest I've ever been to Ehime prefecture, where you were, was Suma-ku in Kobe (I could see Awaji island from there), where I lived for the first 4 months of my time in Japan. Would really like to go there one of these days. Looks like a great place!
