How are you mounting the bags, behind the shocks or are you modifying them to fit around the shocks? If around the shocks you have to watch the width of the seat. I modified the bags on mine to fit around the shocks and a 13" wide seat (like a HD Sundowner or Mustang Vintage) rubs the corner of the bags a little. The Mustang Wide Vintage seat is 16" and definitely will not fit. I'm not sure about the width or comfort of the Corbin(although alot of people really like them), as I haven't tried one. I have a modified HD Sundowner solo, a stock Sundowner solo with pillion and an Saddlemen Explorer G Tech. I've tried a couple Mustang seats but I didn't see where they were any more (or less) comfortable than the ones I had. Of the 3 I like the GTech the most for comfort, although I use the stock Sundowner solo the most(decent compromise for looks and comfort). If you are mounting the bags behind the shocks, then width shouldn't be a problem. I can measure mine tomorrow and get an idea what the width is behind the shocks. I'll be working on the bike tomorrow so it won't be a problem.

    Ndfastin,
Thanks for the info. I just ordered my brackets and a custom latch cover set from eBay. My wife saw what I was doing and ordered the hardware kit for me. She is quite a great lady and is in to this mod just as much as I am.

I have a mustang vintage seat with wide pillion for her. I have been scoping out the Corbin dual tour seat. Do you have any knowledge about this seat? Would it be worth the expense as far as improved comfort?

Thanks for the offer. I have already purchased fiberglass extended and stretched bags with lids. My next purchase is the hard bag brackets. The only thing that I would need would be a complete set of hardware including hinges, latches, locks etc.
