Sorry for such a late reply, just found your message.

The fangs by themself helped quite a bit, but I also installed a Freedom Recurve Shield (15"), that really made the most difference. I'm short and have a Reach seat that sits me low. I went with the shortest they make and it is just right. In combination with the Fangs, there is minimum overall buffeting. The bike is much more stable and the wind is directed above the helmet.

FYI, I use both a half helmet for shorter around toiwn riding and a three-quarter helmet with full face shield for longer higher speed highway riding. I like both, the half is cooler but the three-quarter with shield makes the most difference with regard to helmet movement due to wind...almost none.

Hey Sbob17, I like the fangs. Helped the buffeting a lot, but windshield height is important also. The best shield height is around the tip of your nose to maybe slightly higher. What color is your new FLHC ? Wicked Cherry deflects the wind the best. LOL Post in the everything 2018 Heritage about your new baby. Ride On ! Bob
