Frank, Looks like you have an engine mid-frame heat deflector. How is it and is that H-D part number 29200008A (from the 2017 Heritage)?

    Thanks, kenny

    Casper,

No. The shied is a Freedom Recurve Shield...15". I'm short and have a Reach seat that sits me low. I went with the shortest they make and it is just right. In combination with the Fangs I installed, there is minimum overall buffeting. The bike is much more stable and the wind is directed above the helmet.

FYI, I use both a half helmet for shorter around toiwn riding and a three-quarter helmet with full face shield for longer higher speed highway riding. I like both, the half is cooler but the three-quarter with shield makes the most difference with regard to helmet movement due to wind...almost none.

    Hi Frank,

Did you shorten the original '18 heritage shield? It looks good. How is the buffeting now compared to the original hight?

Curious what you think about the fangs (fork wing deflectors) on your heritage? I just bought a 18 heritage and the buffeting is ridiculous. Like the way the windshield looks and would like to keep it on but ..... thanks in advance for your thoughts?
