Memorial day I want to clean the carb still runs a little rough. I changed the plugs & gaps redone correctly it runs best it ever has, so I tear into the carb (holiday weekend) my choke cable broke never worked quite right always pulled back in even after I would adjust the lock, the adjustment broke does not work & the cable it broke where it connects to the carb and screws in is also broke. Carb issue reassembled & adjust about 20 times today each time still miss & at idle it ran fine, as soon as you give it gas it dies, belches black smoke & sometimes backfires. Checked my work again & again. This one carb gave me fits. Shot some carb cleaner behind the intake & it dies at idle... Ok checked the rubber carb seal it has to small tears in it, add that to the list and a rebuild kit for the carb too as I have used far too much carb cleaner today. Shop says parts on order with be here friday. the 8th? never fix it if it ain't broke on a holiday.cable rebuild kit & carb seal $20 ebay.
