Thanks for sharing Alan! I'll be checking out your FB page. Didn't know about the swingarm, etc. When my engine needs a rebuild I'm counting on upgrading to 100/100 as you did. Love your bike, thanks for sharinf!

    Hey Two Wheel,

I bought in 99. Added cams, pipes and air filter. At 50,000 miles stroked to a 107. Got 109 hp and 129 ft lbs. Big difference but hated how it
handled. Added Howard's Ohlins shocks and a Tru-track type stabilizer. This helped. But if I rode gusto, it was a still squirrely. Especially fast sweepers.

For this all out build, I went with Howard's best front end. His triple tree is massive. The fork conversion with Ohlins 30mm inserts not meant for Harleys is incredible. The bike finally handles. I'm now riding way too fast. I also added brakes that actually work. And I replaced the dangerous swing arm that is known to crack. With all this new power, plus the 100,000 miles already on the swing arm, I felt I better upgrade it. The good part is I lost 10 lbs of unsprung weight.
My builder's facebook page describes the build:
