I rode the Mustang Wide Tripper the last 4+ months, and I like it. The narrow nose helps get my feet flat on the ground as well as takes some strain off of my crotch. I looked at the HD solo seat, and it was just too wide and the pan/frame wasn't made of has high a quality or sturdy material. My longest trip has been about a 4 hour ride, so I don't know how it will hold up on a longer or multi-day ride. Several riders I know bought the Saddlemen Solo Renegade and like it; they think it supports better on long rides, but I thought it was be too firm in town.

I agree the stock seat needs to go! I recommend seeing if you can find a dealer or friends with the Mustang or Saddlemen seats and see which one fits you the best. Both are high quality seats that beat the HD solo seat hands down.

    Good luck!

you posted that you have the Mustang Wide Tripper ...
    that was july 24..
here it is a few months later...
can you tell me how you like it now?
I also have a 19 low rider and the stock seat has to go,
I'm looking at the tripper as well as the solo, but the solo looks way too wide.
    thanks Eddie
