Thanks for the info on the chrome wheels. As mine are only polished, I think I get a pair of the chromed HD rims next winter. They really look outstanding on your bike.

To adjust the motor mount was first reducing the rear side about 2mm to fit the 3 Screws without any tension.
Second I was milling out a bit from the downside, because the fuel rail was in touch with the motor mount.
At least I had to make a bracket out of a 10mm aluminum plate which holds the coil in the right position.
You see a lot of work just for a small part, but I like this kind of customizing.

Did you call the guys from Vulcan and what did they say?

Please keep us updated when you finished with your ignition.

Hi Bob, I saw you have this new chromed rocker wheels from HD. What do you think about the quality of the chrome, is it real nice or are there some rough parts? Did you have any problems with chipping when mounting the tires? I want to get them for my bike, but a lot of my friends do not recommend chromed wheels, so I’m not sure what to do.
    Thanks, Robert

Thanks Bob, my motor mount is from „vulcanworks.net”. They have nice products and so I ordered one, which should fit on Twin Cam Harleys. Unfortunately it doesn’t on my rocker, because there was not enough space for the fuel rail. Maybe it was designed for carburated Twin Cams. As we have a milling machine here, I decided to make it fit by myself. It took me some time, but in the end I think it looks much better than the stock motor mount. If you want to order one, you probably contact them before, if they have a motor mount, which fits the rocker.
I read, you don’t like the ignition key on the side, just check out my pics, I mounted a contactless ignition lock on the swingarm and put a RFID chip into my glove, so I can set on the ignition just by touching this lock. It’s a really cool thing, which I will never miss.
    Robert
