Hey, came across this old post you responded to, https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...ing-noise.html, and im actually having a tapping sound only when the bike is rolling in reverse. Was hoping maybe you had some more insight to this since you had asked the question. I just changed the real wheel, there was no clicking / tapping sound prior to the wheel being off. Any ideas could help. Thanks!

Well my friend, Western Kansas is a ways from you . My Grandparents (which live out here in Western Kansas) grew up in Savannah, OK. I bet you know where that is..........

I have a 2008 Electraglide FLH. Last weekend I performed changing all of the including pimary, and motor oil with Amazoil fluids last weekend and I didnt realize I over filed my oil. Well long story short, I was riding and all of a sudden I saw a cloud of white smoke. It get's worse. Then oil started leaking out my hyper charger like a sive. Then
So I stopped immediately and let it cool down. When I started it up a big white cloud came from the front near the bottom. Not sure what the heck that was. So the next day I played hookie from work and started researching so I drained about half quart of oil and the did notice that the smoke disappeared. The leak did not go away until I took off the hyper charger and cleaned it up and the filter. I also replaced the plugs as well. I noticed that I have lost a signifigant amount of power. My bike will only go up to 80 miles an hour full throttle. Do you think I blew a head gasket or that pop and white smoke was a oil pump?? Or worse a head ?? Thanks.

I,m looking for mufflers (64769-09 & 64768-09) heard you had a pair and were not real happy with them. Are you interested in selling them?

What issues did you have with this bike as mentioned in one of your garage pictures?

I could not figure out how to include the picture. I did load it in my Album under my profile. I finally removed the Tour Pak, it was very easy as I mentioned earlier, the Quick disconect Mods where already done. :-) Can you give the details on your seat? I am not happy with the huge seat that is showing once I got the Tour Pak off. I want something that is low profile, that will create a smooth line to the rear fender. Any suggestions? I have been asking around but no luck with results so far. I have searched the forum but again, no luck. I also need to replace the license plate holder just like you did. Any suggestions there? Again thanks for whatever help you are willing to give.

Thanks for the follow-up. After reading the thread from UltraKla$$ic that you suggested, I went out this morning to check out the Tour Pak, low and behold it had already had the Quick disconnect Mod completed. That was a welcome relief! Now I have a couple more questions if you dont mind?
(1) The image included here (hopefully I added it right) shows the bracket that is still attached. I am not sure how to remove it! Any suggestions?
(2) I hate the seat that is left showing (I added a fe wpics of the end result after the removal of teh Tour Pak. Your seat looks awesome. I searched but did not see that seat anywhere. Any objections to telling me where you got yours? That look is very free flowing and smooth. It holds the lines well.
(3) License plate holder. Did you mount directly to the fender?

I just purchased a 08 Ultra Classic Electra Glide and would like to get the steps to removing my Tour kit also. The look you have is exactly where I want my HD to be. The wife likes the Tour Pak but as you stated I would like to get used to the ride without the Tour Pak. Any information on this change would be greatly appreciated.
Another question, What is the secret to keeping the balance at a stop with our Ultra's? :-) I was riding 2 up yesterday and at a stop the HD tilted and I just could not keep it upright! I purchased the HD UCEG after riding a Yamaha 950 Tourer for 2 years without any issues. I know the HD is taller and heavier than my old Yamaha but I would like to know if you have any tips that could help me not look so stupid next time I am at a stop? :-)
I know its a lot of questions but I am willing to learn and I have googled as much as I can on this, with no luck at all.
