my advice in the lower part of michigan and upper indiana is to stay on 12 which eventually takes you to red arrow highway and then blue star. i have done around the lake a few times so ask away if you need anything else. 12 is much nicer than 94 and its 55 mph so you can get cooking too, never crowded and great scenery. it exit 17 off 94 in indiana i believe, its 12/21 and then you stay on 12.

Geezr, I saw u lived in the canyon area. We are planning a trip to the canyon area in mid Sept. we will be leaving from Zanesville, OH. We would be interested in any great info about the area like great roads, hotels, restaurants with cold beer and other stops of interest. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Terry
