Lets find a place to get together and meet. Sounds like a good time.
IMO, theres always an attempt to do this for the bigger events, however, unfortunatley it rarely ever happens just because everyone has their own agendas. don't know about you, but unlike poorboy, I ain't wearin no name tag. [:'(]

if something does develop??? I'll do my best to show.

Man I hear ya. On the similar thread over in the softail section I was thinking that a name tag was too gay.

The ONLY thing I think that is worth trying to do is to pick a place to meet in the late morning. Hello, hi, howdy, yada, yada, yada; and then RIDE together into the mayhem.

Right now I am leaning towards Deland for a meeting place. Something like a shopping center parking lot. As a forum group we can have a nice ride to Destination Daytona and then split up, hang, donate kidneys, get drunk, stay sober, eat, puke, get tatoo'd, buy stuff, etc; in other words whatever trips your trigger.

I live in Palm Coast (30 miles from Deland), so if somewhere elseis more excitable, I'm game. The CLOSER we are to any of the events the harder it will be to meet up, so that's why I am thinking OUTSIDE of ground zero to find a place to meet.

PoorBoy that sounds like a very do-able plan. Count me in!

Bluedragon. I'll be riding down from Lakeland on Sat. My days plan is about the same as yours. If your interested in meeting up somewhere and riding down together, Im up for that too.

Hey guys I'm up for meeting out in Deland, it is too hard to get together as a group in Daytona.
Guess I won't be wearing a name badge though [sm=boohoo.gif]

I think we may be able to work something out here, wingnutt~ I don't have a planned route to take as of yet... I usually just tag along with others leading the way... but, I seem to remember heading through your neck of the woods on 33(?), up through ONF, and into Daytona~ I'm pretty sure it was 33 anyhow... very nice route.. especially through the forrest area~ [8D]

I will be in Pierson, out on Rt. 17 just about 20 miles or so north ofDeland. I would love to meet in Deland, grab a beer or something.

I don't think I can ride into Daytona with you but I would be able to hook up in Deland on what ever day you guys pick.

O.K. here's a plan:

I will plan to be at the Brandywine Shopping Center in Deland each morning at 10am. Will hang there until 11am when we can depart to Destination Daytona.

This is a 31 mile cruise from Deland to the fun at Rossmeyers. Here a link to the route planned: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=e...;z=11&om=1

The shopping center has groceries and god knows what else in there. We'll collect in their biglot nearest the road.

Here are the written directions from the shopping center:

1. We'll head north on route 17 to Spring Garden street (15a) turn right.
2. Spring Garden street terminates at Route 11. We turn left on route 11, heading north.
3. Right turn onto Route 40, heading east.
4. We pick up Route 95, head north for 6 miles.
5. We exit at Route 1 (exit # 273)

Here is Rossmeyer's website: http://www.destinationdaytona.com/

On Saturday why not just meet at my house in DeLand.
We could meet at about 10:00and get to know each other then head out to Daytona about noon.
I doubt the wife would be into a big ole biker party all weekend but a meet and greet for a couple hours would be cool.
Then we wouldnt need the gay name tags.[8D]
If you guys are into it I'll get a map and directions together.
My house is simple to get to from any direction.
