I thought my 2017 M8 was problem free but as it turns out I have the oil transfer issue from tranny to primary. H-D isn't doing anything so I'll just adjust oil levels myself and with such a short riding season here it's not like I'm able to rack up more 3 or 4K miles a year anyways. When this bike is paid off I might go back to an Indian. One of the things Polaris does a good job of is making their motorcycles reliable. I just like the H-D's better for the way they look, sound and feel.

I guess that’s good enough reason to spend 20 + grand on a sumper.

Wiz,
Why don't you take your starter bike and go home?

Had left hand controls replaced in my '17 FLHTK two weeks ago but ended up riding out on a 2019. Shop guy told me that they've seen this issue in 2015 models and it's well known. Mine had progressed to causing stalling at lights too.

I'm shocked that most people doesn't have a good relationship with their Harley dealership or found a better dealership. I have one of the first 2017 street glide which I bought in 2016 of September my warranty has ran out but they just did the vent for the oil transfer for free and told me not to worry that I was still covered under warranty. They have backed me up 💯%. But I have bought 8 new bikes from them since 1990. I did a stage three big bore kit right off the bat with a race tuner a decatted head pipe and other goodies with no problems and 15,000 miles. As of now I have no oil transfer and I run the **** out of my bike and they know that because I need a new rear tire already.I also have known their main mechanic since day one and he likes to get my opinion and information from me so that's a big plus for me.
