Installed Wild 1 Chubby 10" apes on Saturday and I love 'em! They pull back right to where I want them so now I'm sitting up straight and actually able to use my backrest. I really like the wider, flatter hand position too.
I've had the bike for just over a month and this was my first time working on a bike with a fairing. A pain in the ***, but well worth it!
I learned what happens when I don't tighten my gas cap at least one click when I put it back on after fueling... my oil warning lamp gets lit when I start up. Then the lamp goes out when I tighten the gas cap.
I even experimented and turned off the bike a couple of times to see if I could repeat it. Sure could.
So I learned me sumthin...
I know, not as impressive as new handlebars, new pipes, or even cleaning the bottom of my jiffy stand - but for me it was a good day!
ok, a bit off topic, but related to my post with pics here on page 56 about the ride we did Sunday, this happened the very next day on the road we were on the day before and rode right through this spot..whew!!!!!

Wow, can you imagine being on a scoot and hearing the thunder of those rocks coming down, let alone being caught in something like that. MJ, go buy some lottery tickets, lol, it's your lucky day.
Finally got around to remounting the wife's adjustable pegs. Had to buy new mounts cuz nuthin works on the adjustable floor boards. Guess now I'll sell those.
