You can sandblast the dipstick removing chrome and easier to read or paint flat black or primer grey to see oil better

No problems to report.

Took my bike in for 1K service (980mi). Specifically asked service writer to check for transfer of trans-to-primary oil and document findings on the RO. They checked/measured both and found no extra oil in my primary, nor a lowering in my transmission. Both findings documented on my 1K RO receipt.

FYI: at the 500 mile mark I replaced the engine oil, trans oil, and filter (as I wanted the break-in oil dumped before the 1K service). Measured my transmission oil 3 times over the next 460 miles and it measured exactly the same on the dipstick each time.

Cautiously hopeful.

I love the paranoia with the M8. I wouldn't trade mine for anything. Had a first production road glide , one bad oil pump. No issues since, just bought a second street glide with a M8 for commuting. No issues on it at all. My favorite motor of all that I have owned.

Bought my RG June 1st, 18,400 miles and zero problems. I feel for those that have encountered problems, but I believe that majority of bikes are not having any issues, which makes it harder to figure out a solution. Those that have problems seem to think that all the bikes produced will eventually have the problems, which I don't believe will be the case, but for their sake I hope MOCO can find a solution and soon.
