Default Seat

I have a 2017 RGU. Love the bike but not the seating position. I'd like to sit higher - like the cop bikes. I tried a tall boy seat, and that pushes you back, not up. Any recommendations on a seat? I was also thinking of an Airhawk seat bad to lift me up. Thoughts on this?

As always, thanks much.

Check into Mean City Cycles web page and see if they have a mod for you or call them and discuss what you want.A lot cheaper than going out and purchasing a new seat and then finding out its not the one and selling it for half of what you paid.Had mine done at MCC and couldn't be more pleased with outcome and price.

I'm more than 6 hours away from them. Did you do it in person or remotely?

Dealers typically have numerous demo seats for you to try. They are specifically stamped demo all over the vinyl. You are under no obligation to buy and they let you keep it a few days.

To me, there is no risk going this route whereas buying something online will typically have a no return policy once it is installed.

I didn't realize that you could take a demo seat with you. Thanks for the tip.

I am running the Mustang super touring seat with driver backrest for the last 600 miles. So far so good.

I also have the Mustang Super Touring on a 16 RGS. It sat me up 2" and I personally love it. 4300 mile ride this summer and it was outstanding

I wound up getting my seat customized by John Longo in Rockville MD. He did a great job custom fitting the seat to me. Like going to a fine tailor, but for your a$$. Amazing craftsmanship and understanding of the body and ergonomics. Way cheaper than a new seat.
