I’m usually between 3500 and 4500. Sometimes up to 5000.

so..when you say "usually"..kinda' implies the majority of your riding time is between 3500-4500...if that's the case you burn a lot of gas, which is cool if you don't care and really like riding fast most of the time......which begs the next question..how many speeding tickets do you have!!!!

Maybe he's not gotten any speeding tickets yet because he's still in 1st gear? Damn I thought this thing was an automatic!

3000 to 3500 cruising on the highway. Short blast over 4000 entering them!

It is the only speed sensor on the bike located on top of the gearbox !
Pull the plug and your Speedo won't work, nor will the screen speed on your GPS
Yea your engine warning light will come on,but it will reset itself after a few cycles.
Don't believe that after one hundred years of intentional 6% under reading speedos they have come clean!I will check the part numbers on the 2018 today and Crack a bottle of good Whisky if they have changed.
So I took a ride this weekend and checked my speedo again with an independent GPS, not the GSP on the bike. I had to hold the GPS in my hand cause I don't have a mount for the separate GPS. So I would set the cruise control so my right hand was free and pulled the GPS out of my pocket. So I checked it at 40, 50, 60, 70, and 75mph and everytime I pulled it out of my pocket the speedo was the same speed as the GPS. Maybe was registering 1 mph off once and a while.

So I have no idea why mine is correct if all other models are 6% off, but I am convinced it's correct for now. Fine with me.

My 14 Limited read about 6% fast. Both odometer and speedometer.
The 17 Limited is pretty accurate on both.

that sounds pretty high but if it works for you then..2500-3000 cruising on the highway for me is the sweet spot but I ride solo on a Road King, so I could see a heavy bike 2 UP needing to maybe bump it up
