George, do you think 1.1-1.2 hp/tq per cui. is doable out of 107" M8 with cam, tune, exhaust, intake only? Or is the stock head's exhaust flow too low for that?

When getting an answer to this question, what RPM are you looking to get those results? With or without the Cat in the head pipe? 1.1 = 117.7 HP and 1.2 = 128.4 HP

yes that is very doable. Like Steve said. 1.1 times 107 = 117. And 1.2 times 107 = 128ish. We do the twin cams 107 and 128 HP.
The M 8 head flows much more in both sides than the TC.

How about a table-top torque curve from 2k rpm through 5250, with 1.1-1.2 tq/cui.? Along with a horsepower curve that pulls 1.0-1.1 hp/cui. past 5250 rpm?

Either way Cat or no Cat? Without pulling the heads??

If not, what would your thoughts be of typically expected #'s be for a cam, exhaust/headpipe, air cleaner build be with the M8?

TIA,

K.

I think that a table top curve is wishful thinking (2000 - 5250) or a very happy dyno! While I think that reaching 1.1 is possible with a non cat exhaust I do not believe were going to see those numbers with a cat in place. Mind you this is all based on your requirement of NO head removal. The stock heads and pistons limit you as there is no room for piston to valve clearance or valve spring clearance in the stock head.

Is the valve spring clearance issue in the head retainer-to-guide or spring diameter to casting? Or?? I was hoping with how well the M8 heads seem to flow (based on #'s I've seen on the boards) that a low lift camshaft with proper timing events could accomplish it... I'm not really looking to crack open the top-end of my new bike just yet.

Thanks for the input!

Ouf buddy I like the dyno chart. Many hp needed for our open roads.

I see disassembly and installation but only see 3 pictures of parts. New to site please share what disassembly and installation mean. Possibly another link to the disassembly? or installation? Or are you by chance selling a product? Can I have that link? I'd be very interested.
