Has anyone experienced "wobble" with their new bike?

I did, but the road I was on was not the best and I gunned it to pass a dump truck. It happened the one time only and surprised me a little, but I can't say if it was due to the road conditions or a combination of the road and me gunning it to pass the dump truck. Haven't had it happen any other time. I don't like the stock Dunlop tires, and that might play into it as well. Going to replace my skins with Micheline Commander II's later this year.

isn't the frame the same since 2009? I know the shocks may have changed, but its been a few model years since the infamous death wobble was an issue

The Touring frame is NEW for 2017. The M8 engine will not fit in the old frame with out cutting. What all they did I have no idea.

I read somewhere that the frame was not the same. It was strengthened/stiffened as part of the new m8 design. I'll look for the article but from my own experience, it's been rock solid stable since day one. I have miles of open highways before hitting my favorite back roads. Doing 80-90-and close to 100, did nothing to upset her even when going over imperfections along the way.. and there are plenty on the Taconic State Pkwy. You could feel it but at no time did I feel like I was about to lose the front, or get tossed off the bike. I'm 200 lbs with no passenger but my suspension is set for 2 up riding plus some luggage. Seems to work for me...

I thought the frame was the same, it could be a multitude of reasons, and the setup of the shocks may be one of them. I was playing with my shocks the other day and have them at about a level four I believe. I ride one up, so I think I don't need anything dialled on. I'll have to look at the manual again and make sure I dial it in for my weight. Thanks for the reminder Jclax.

I stand corrected.. Just read the article and ride review. The frame is exactly the same as previous models. Ride quality was improved via new Showa forks and shocks. I assume this setup has addressed whatever wobble was being experienced in prior model years. Again, I have not experienced any and I ride this thing like it was a sport bike. (boy I miss those track days...)

I thought it was the same as well, but if Steve says it's a new frame for the M8 then I guess I was wrong. He knows his stuff inside out and provides invaluable feedback on a multitude of forums.

Shocks don't cause wobble so even if that was changed the wobble still is going to be there.
