I was thinking the same thing. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that oil.

Ive put some significant miles on the bike since switching and you couldn't be more wrong. It's definitely smoother all the way around.

It's actually the new slip and assist clutch. It's ramped and feeds back into the clutch lever. Also, the new 2017 clutch slave cylinder creates the harder pull.

I have about 500 miles on mine since the change and you are absolutely correct SWThomas. Very smooth.

I know this is an old thread, and I'm sorry about resurrecting an old oil thread, but I noticed something a bit strange on the Amsoil website.
For the 107 inch m8 transmissions, Amsoil recommends their synthetic transmission oil, along with their 20w-50 motor oil.
But for the 114's, they only recommend the 20w-50 motor oil.
Does anyone know what this is about?
Has there been issues using dedicated transmission oil in the 114's transmissions?
I'm thinking it's just an oversight.

I'm thinking you're right. No reason for a difference that I can see.
