The OP has a Stage III, Those kits dont come with adjustable push rods. The original ones are re-used.

Thanks for the responses!
Yes, my SE stg III 114 was a complete top end tear down, it uses the OEM pushrods and not adjustable ones. The kit was done in October so it sounds more like a lifter issue(now 4600km). The bike is still in the shop, the dealer was booked up, but they said they'd squeeze it in which was no problem(working straight through this cold rainy week). I'm very happy with the dealer (Barrie HD)and have been using them for years for several bikes with several Screamin Eagle Stg 3 & 4 kits.
I will update as soon as I find out.

Picked the bike up from the Dealer, and unfortunately they couldn't duplicate the noise. They are great to work with and are continuing to monitor the issue with me. After much debriefing we've surmised that due to the bike being kept indoors at the shop the room temperatures more than likely wouldn't replicate the noise. It seems it consistently only appears after 2-4 min start up and lasts for 5-7min, but only on a cold start up on temperatures of less than 10 deg celcius ( 50deg Fahrenheit ).
Also of note, they bike has been running mineral oil till first service and then for break in on the 114 Stg 3 . It's now switched over to HD Synthetic (4500km / 2800mi ) .

I'll post my findings.

I will predict one of two things. Exhaust leak or a lifter issue.
By the way, that noise is not normal. Mine is much quieter and does not make such a noise.
Good luck on getting your bike fixed. I hope it isn't to serious. Please keep us posted with findings.

pretty certain its the crap lifters. These are the same screaming eagle lifters used in the twin cam motor. I did the stage 3 and had that same sound, hard to hear from that clip but sounds pretty consistent to what I had. They replaced the lifters and the sound was gone. It was louder at start up but after I rode it was there but not as noticeable. I put about 1k miles on those bad lifters before I brought it in and realized it was not normal. I had a beefed up motor in my old twin cam that made tons of noise. This new M8 should not make that noise

I had torque cam done and did not need adjustable push rods. There is a little more valve train noise now but it's a higher lift. Also nearing the 1000k service.

If they used non adjustable push rods, that means they pulled the covers and rockers to do a cam job. Normally the procedure would be to cut the push rods in half to remove them, and adjustables installed to prevent all the labor time to R&R the Rockers .The reality is adjustable push rods in this application is just a time savor.

You know what they did but it was because of the new m8 engine black out kit upper and lower rocker boxes that's a bigger job than it used to be to do the lowers most people skip em and they don't come in the "kit"
