Honestly, I would try to find a dealer that has both seats in stock and let you try them.

I think thats what I'll do when I'm ready to get the passenger seat. Try the fitment first. Then order from surdyke or boardtracker, since they're cheaper. lol Although some dealers will match their prices.

Here is the gap, I guess I've gotten used to it because I don't pay it any attention now.

Has anyone else tried drilling new holes in bracket to allow the seat to slide forward to close the gap and also use the rear pillion? I am on vacation without my bike so I cant try one at the local dealer to see how it fits but I want to get something ordered so it will be waiting for me when I get home.

I have not seen the part yet but I think it is the two nuts that hold fromt seat and the rear pillion slips onto them.

I put one on my RG and there was a gap between the nose of the seat and the dash. What year is this bike?

Default Part number confirmation

As far as I can tell, there are two different party numbers and they are two different colors of stitching. One is red and one is orange can anyone confirm the part number for the red stitching?

I can't remember what color CVO had the seats with the red stitching. But if you do then go to shop.outpostalaska.com and use there parts finder to get the correct part number. If you are switching from a 1 piece seat on a regular street glide and not a CVO you will need more than just the seat. That passenger pad sit on fender rails.
