I had never thought about needing to "Speed Check" my transmission fluid in the past, until............ well...........you know.
Mine gets checked when the bike gets serviced. If it dumps everything into the primary and burns up the trans in between services, then it looks like Harley has a transmission to rebuild......

YMMV

Default Cosmetically Wrong, otherwise it works !

I read the whole thread regarding the Speed Check Transmission Dipstick (P/N 62700192) fitment on 2017 and later Milwaukee 8 touring bikes. Also I saw the pictures showing the fitment. Take a look as to how it looks when it is screwed in. The black **** does not cover the whole filling port. It looks like something is missing. I am speculating here, that if Harley was to sell it and advertised its fitment, it wood be a perfect fit around the filler port without part of it being exposed. Other than that, I agree, it works. It just does not look right.

If you're talking about the tiny silver edge around the top of the filling port, looks fine to me. No different than the silver edges on all the cylinders/fins etc...

My machinist friend made this for me. One for my bike and one for the wife's TriGlide.

Got it. I looked at the present plug from the factory and sure enough, that does not cover the entire filling port either. The picture that AlCherry posted is awesome. That plug **** matches the factory oil dipstick. Oh well, I guess I can go with the one they list for up to 2017 bikes or wait just in case they come up with something better. Thanks for all the info and insight guys.

Probably more than you would want to pay. It is stainless steel. About $70.
