I was a badass on my Springer running one, 20 years ago.

 

They help to lighten your wallet. And, they identify you as an idiot.

Unless you compress the air by a turbo or supercharger...or some magic.., nothing attached to the throttle body will put more air in the motor than can be sucked in during the intake stroke. So, get the most open flowing AC you can find. And the Krackyurkin Supercharger is not one of them.

Kuryakin made a killing off gullible schmucks that thought it improved performance. Had to hook tubes to the vacuum ports to get the stupid flaps to open properly. What a pain in the *** for zero performance gain. I am pretty sure in 1999 it was mandatory for all Yamaha cruisers to have one.

 

Fake blower hats are absolutely stupid to anyone above Jr Hi performance knowledge.

 

I literally laugh whenever I see one.

 

Those have been a gimmic since thy came out, they are about looking cool not performance.
