I have the Bassani DNT’s. I put them on soon after I bought the bike. I didn’t retune, they’re the only change I made, and they don’t seem to have affected the torque. Have you tried them against the Street Cannons on a dyno? I’m just curious. I have used the DNT’s on a 124” S&S TwinCam with good results and the tuner said he had tuned CFR’s and the Bassanis were very tunable where as the CFRs were not. Also, will the Fullsac cores fit in the Bassani mufflers?

I have a 2 sets of re-cored stock mufflers I have tested, 1.75" and 2.00" and both do well on the left side of the graph, with the edge going to the 1.75" baffles.
How do you think Fuel Moto’s Jackpot 2-1-2 header and Hi-Roller mufflers would work with the CR460? I currently have the Woods M8-222 cam in there now and the low end torque (below 2500) just isn’t there.

My experience with DNT's was on a Twin Cam, I swapped them out for a set of Crusher Mellow's and picked up 20 ft# at 2500 rpm.

Any of those large baffled cans will have a similar affect on a 107" M8, they are very exhaust sensitive.

An S&S 124 would be a totally different ball game but I would bet that the low end could be improved upon with a different set of mufflers. JMO.

Here's the graph of the Fuel Moto 107 with the DNT's vs Mellow's.

The cam swap will be a huge move in the right direction for low end grunt.

If you don't have them already, FM sells inserts for the mufflers and the head pipe to help with low end torque on that particular application.

As always with any mods be sure to budget a real tune.

Hey Daren, the second part of my question was about recoring the DNT’s. I guess there’s two parts to this. Can it be done and if so, will it work? I realize if you haven’t played with it you may not have the answer.

I have not tried to install Fullsac baffles in DNT's.

RPW USA have some baffle inserts that can be tack welded in the existing baffles to help with the low end. No direct experience but I have heard some good reports.

I looked at RPW USA website, it is for Victorys and Indians so when I looked at the baffles they offer it is unclear which one it would be. I don't think the Fullsac baffles will work since the DNT's are a megaphone design. I'll call RPW and see if they have an idea about what is being used for this purpose.

Daren, have you had a chance to dyno a 22x cam? The specs are quite different than the CR460

Do you have plans to? I know of two different installs now that generated consistent results, just very low. 93/104
