You think it might take a little longer to send parts to the UK from Moco ?

Probably a good possibility of that, just seems like stuff like that would be caught so a potential customer doesn't come in and find it, I know we are all humans and mistakes get made though.

All this negativity has to be treatable? It is just another motorcycle!
Imagine if Harley had no heritage and their mantra wasn't evolution!
90% of the hydraulic clutch actuation system originated from the Rushmore
C V O as do the part numbers.Go have a couple of Beers!

The stuff I'm hearing about the M8's is pretty small in scope compared to the fiasco from the TC 110 intro in 2007. Now that was a hatefest!

I’d be concerned about the clutch plates. If the slave failed and the clutch was slipping all that time, there’s bound to be some excessive wear now.

Dealing with the hydraulics of it all now is also a new twist but a serious talk with your dealer is the best bet. Also ask to upgrade if the event continues and an additional cost especially if you plan to add increased HP or Torque.

The clutch had not been slipping , it was a very strange experience, I had been riding the bike the previous day without any sign of clutch issues, it was only when I rolled my bike out the garage the next morning and went to ride off the problem occurred.

Hopefully it was a one off, I must admit I am not monitoring my clutch functioning closely but I cannot thank my dealer enough for how they have responded, they went over and above what might be expected of them when Harley failed on being able to deliver parts for a brand new bike!

Great dealer service can make or break what you thought was a good ride. Its primary. Up grade your clutch if and when you plan to upgrade the motor. We still hate that shifting bump in the clutch pull.
