Next year in June my 2 year warranty runs out. I will look at all of my options before that. Maybe I will extend it another two years, maybe not. I will know more after this riding season, which hasnt really arrived yet. Until then... she sits in storage......... playing the waiting game. Cant wait to retire, I will be riding in florida one day..... hopefully.
Awesome dude but man I have trouble understanding what he says.

When you figure in normal list price markup, maybe they got the trade-in cheap and kicked the difference into gross profit, dealer fees, F&I income, extended warranties, maintainance policies, paint sealants, etc.
Yes 15k profit is absolutely possible..Lots of high 5s when that customer left!!!
Last weekend I met a guy who just took delivery on a 18 Road Glide and told me he paid 7000 for an extended warranty, service package and he seemed ok with it...his 2nd Harley he went from a skirtster..

When I bought my 2018 I got called into the room and presented with 'extended warranty.' I thought about the transmission issues and decided to buy it. Then the prepaid service agreement over the length of the warranty; it was huge $'s...something like $4k. I said no. Guy asked 'what are you going to do?' I said 'do my own.' Then the 'wheel and tire warranty....again huge $;'s. I said no. The guy said 'what are you going to do when...?' I said 'that is what eBay is for, and I mount my own tires.' They had a 'package' on the sales card and if memory serves me slippery it was about $6k total, which the guy tried to spin as a 'deal.'
And, if you like your bikes in top notch condition and do not wrench yourself it may actually be. All the service adds up....
