I'm sweating on the SEPST(orange) being Auto Tune Module compatible by then , the guy that rejigs used ones has said to me (I think) that it does or it will be able to but he's very Italian (I think) and I really have trouble understanding him.

All products are sold at the highest price the market will bear and not one cent less. That is how free enterprise works.

Yes 15k profit is absolutely possible..Lots of high 5s when that customer left!!!

Last weekend I met a guy who just took delivery on a 18 Road Glide and told me he paid 7000 for an extended warranty, service package and he seemed ok with it...his 2nd Harley he went from a skirtster..
Road, let me see if I understand this....... Someone paid 7000 thousand dollars for an extended service package? Wow, thats alot of money. Is it just the extended warranty? How much is peace of mind worth?

I have been around awhile and Harley's have always been high priced nothing new there. But there is a hell of a lot of inventory of all brands of motorcycles nowadays so cost of used is pretty darn good.

New M8's are the best motor Harley has made IMHO.

Biggest and most repeated line from non-owners "They leak oil".

I tell everyone that says that "yes they do!, my garage floor is covered in oil, stay away and buy a Honda instead.
Going on 5 years old, past 20,000 miles, not a drip of oil from mine. ) Not yet anyway ...

$7,000 for an extended warranty? I paid $1,000 for four years of extended warranty (six years total).

That seems like he got more than a little ripped off...

It is the 'prepaid service agreement' that is the killer.

When I bought my 2018 I got called into the room and presented with 'extended warranty.' I thought about the transmission issues and decided to buy it. Then the prepaid service agreement over the length of the warranty; it was huge $'s...something like $4k. I said no. Guy asked 'what are you going to do?' I said 'do my own.' Then the 'wheel and tire warranty....again huge $;'s. I said no. The guy said 'what are you going to do when...?' I said 'that is what eBay is for, and I mount my own tires.' They had a 'package' on the sales card and if memory serves me slippery it was about $6k total, which the guy tried to spin as a 'deal.'

And, if you like your bikes in top notch condition and do not wrench yourself it may actually be. All the service adds up....
