Different Oil in the M8

Hey guys,
I have a 2017 SGS with about 4k miles on it now. I checked my oil today and noticed I was about half a Qt low, maybe 3/4 of a Qt. I had my 1K service on it at 1K with regular HD360 and checked the oil after that and it was perfect. My question is, can I use any brand 20w50 motorcycle oil in the motor until my next service at 5k or are there some that will mix with the HD 360 and damage my engine? My manual says to use diesel oil if HD 360 is not available but I currently only have some Castrol 20W50 in my garage. Thanks for the input!
