I would think with 120hp/130tq you could coax a tuned 117 softail somewhere north of 130.
That said, terminal velocity will dictate top speed not too much higher than that.

Here's a Fat Bob 124" doing 10.7-sec quarter-miles. That's about as good as you'll ever see from any Harley.

Harleys are about torque, and quickness. You want top speed, you need high revs and horsepower. That's not Harley's game.

 

As you now know, you cant mention SPEED on this forum, as it is an embarassing subject for guys who regularly get passed by the PIZZA delivery guy!

 

Harleys are made to cruise or sit outside a bar.
When I bought mine I had a 2006 gsxr 600, a 1997 v max and my 2016 sgs. After I bought my SGS I sold the other 2. now if I want speed I jump on my 2018 KTM EXC 450

 

especially those punks with those big fart can mufflers on their Honda preludes

 

Well....i equate it to buying a Cadillac . You don't buy those cars for speed. You buy them for comfort and style. Well not the newer caddys. Those things are crap....no offense to anyone who owns one.

any car can be fast if you put thousands of dollars into it... hardly a fair comparison.

 

ok stock ctsv is over 600 hp

 

My comparison was more so for the older caddys. They were huge cars built to cruise in style, not race.

Yes caddy has some new cars that make huge hp. They had to do that to try to compete with lexus, infinity, and other luxury level cars.
