Agreed! I have 500 miles on my 18 RGS so far and love it, but the rear suspension was the 1st thing I took off. I took my Ohlin's off the 13 SG before I traded it, and the very next day put them on the RGS. Ride is awesome now! On another note..... if you go from a SG to a RG you won't go back! Just my opinion!

Best solution at reasonable cost is to buy a set of 17/18 Harley Ultra 13" Emulsion Shocks.Set them 6 to 10 turns less than the chart suggests. That extra 1" makes an unbelievable difference over undulations, even smoother on corners!

Like others have stated, This is my first Harley and my first cruiser/touring bike. I come from the sport bike world. At 5'9" and 135lbs, my 132hp 400lb Ducati moved me with no problem and I had no problem moving it. I was skeptical going to an HD. I had a buddy let me ride his wife's '13 Street Glide. at near 800 pounds it was no problem for me to ride. I decided to buy a Road Glide but again was worried about the new M8, any new problems it had and again, the weight of the bike. IMO, the RG handles even better than the SG. The M8, while not a Ducati motor, picks up that 800+ pound bike and puts it through it paces with ease. It's balanced and runs great. It does get a bit warm on your legs during the summer but what air cooled bike doesn't? I am extremely happy with mine and though I'm only at a month and 1200 miles, I've ripped on it enough to know that for me it seems plenty reliable. Only time will tell for age and mileage though. With any vehicle or motorcycle you buy, you will have the ones that people have issues with. Things happen.

Talking Love it

I've ridden the 88 the 96 the 103 and now the 107. I love it. So far so good on my 2017 Ultra Limited. The only problem so far is a repeat check engine light for a rear O2 sensor high. Working with Harley on that as they say it is "normal".

Update - 9000 miles, 3500+ miles on the 117 Stage 4. Still running like a rabid bat out of hell and I’m still loving every mile.

Took my 2-18 Ultra Limited on a 600 mile trip Tuesday. All slab, 75-80 MPH most of the way. Ran perfect! Love this bike!

Like mine more each time I ride it, coming up on 5k miles with no problems. Swapped out the rear shocks for the super shoxs I had on my 12 rgc, much better ride now.
