Always start by checking the simple things first. Air pressure (both tires), cupping, worn tires, neck tongue, wheel bearings, etc.

Just took my '18 FLHTK in for front death wobble at 30+. Initially, I told them it was most noticeable when I had one hand off of the handlebars, to which they replied, "Well, Harley's stance on not having both hands on the bars is...," you get the idea. I still demanded they check it. Front wheel alignment corrected and pressure serviced. Smooth now. It didn't do such new, so the whole BS, "they all do it," crap is such a cop-out and I won't deal with it.

Three things I have found on 17-18s. Factory air pressure are way too low for touring bikes.( lawyers I am sure as I run 49-51 rear 39-41 front and never cupped a Dunlop but they suck)....Check neck bearing on every bike new or used.....junk the factory dunlops. I get more customers calls from guys telling me bike has never been so smooth after we dump the Dunlop’s ..... One good thing is 17-18-19 neck bearing simple to adjust.

Just tell them when you relax your grip it shakes.....that can’t cop out that one. But one or no hands they have and excuse. Pure BS......MECK BEARINGS SHOULD BE PART OF SET UP......they are never rite.

My 2017 Ultra limited would wobble with cruse on and a light touch on the bars. I could also feel a light tapping when braking had a bad rear bearing. 3000 miles later bearing went bad again. I traded in in last week on a 2019.

Is the adjustment procedure in the manual? I have to do mine and never done a neck bearing adjustment so hoping to get a visual. Hopefully it can be done without removing the fairing but I am doubtful

It is in the shop manual. Not in the owner's manual. You don't have to remove the fairing but you will have to remove your keyswitch and loosen the head clamp. Not difficult.

you'll need a 6" long quarter-inch socket extension. That's what goes up into the tensioner. Clockwise as you're looking up into the bottom of the steering head tightens, etc.
