I always said that if Harley came out with a new motor to replace the twin cam I would consider buying one. I sold my 2014 Indian Chieftain and bought a 2017 M8 powered SGS. No regrets at all and my M8 with stage 1 has been 100% trouble free.

I bought my 2017 for the color. I saw the Laguna Orange and fell in love with it. I didn’t even test ride an M8 before I bought. I had actually bought a 2015 SGS about 6 months before I bought the 2017. The 2015 was torn apart for modifications which is why I bought it. Even though the 2015 has a 117” motor and a Baker DD7 I think I still like the M8 better. The only problem I have had is some transfer.

I wanted the color but I was unsure about the new motor. The bike sat on the dealership floor for 5 months. I finally took it for a ride. The 18's were just hitting the floor. They added the 5 year ESP and the price was right so I rode it home.
No REGERTS!!!!! Ha ha.

I was riding a Sportster in 16 when a buddy told me to take his Indian Springfield for a ride. What a difference it was comfort wise which made me realize I needed a bigger bike. A couple weeks later I went and got a quote from Indian and decided to slip over and take a new Road King for a test ride. Well just a few minutes on the new King and I was hooked so I guess I was buying a new bike anyway but this new M8 kept me on a Harley. It's been a great trouble free ride.

Some A**hole in an F150 decided to run over me and my '14 FLHTK, so I needed a new bike. dealer made me a deal on a '17 CVO LTD so there you have it. I will say, had that not happened, I may have kept that bike forever. I was extremely happy with it.

I was riding a 2014 Road King with 34,000 miles on it, great bike. One day I fell in love with the New Road Glide. It was just gravy that the Glide came with the Milwaukee Eight.

I guess I'm an odd sock here. Color would never get me off one bike and on to another. My ride is black. It's not vivid black, midnight black, deep coral black or any other black. It's black. Like my dad said to my mom. "Carlene, when the motor craps out and the car's not moving, what color it is won't make any difference". Old habits die hard. lol
