Has nothing to do with the spring damper seat discussed here though.

Isn't the "damper seat" the part you want to replace?

Cool, I just ordered the part. Big question however..........Will it work on the '18 Softails with their cable clutch rather than hydraulic? If so, can't wait to try it out.

Doubt it. Different part numbers.

Default Thank you for the posting

I have a 2018 Street Glide Special with the same clutch feel issue. I like to Harley about the spring seat spacer for the 19 like you had mentioned and installed it today. Definitely better and seems to shift better with less clunk. Thanks for the heads up very satisfied

Just finished installing the damper seat part number : 37000295 into my 2017 Road Glide Special. The result is magical.

Strangely, I seemed to have 2 types of friction plates (narrow and wide) like the manual says, and 2 types of steels (narrow and wide) but I also had a steel that was smooth located at the interface of the pressure plate pack not mentioned anywhere.
