Default What's the wildest cam made for the M8

I'm looking for the wildest cam out there, with springs obviously. is the SE8 515 going to make more power than the rs468 I have? I'm after top end horsepower, not bothered about below 3000rpm.

It all depends on how good your exhaust is for the higher RPM area's. The TTS-250 camshaft will put the SE 515 to shame from idle to 6200 RPM.

I have the 475 cam from S&S and the billet cat from D&D, doesn't come on till about 2800, idles nice and lopey, It really needs more compression or more displacement to broaden the powerband with this setup. I think you'd be happy with it. It made 110 horsepower and 115 ft lbs.

steve would the tts-250 be a good cam for my 117 stageIV fat bob? It has a fab 28 2-1 and heavybrearher on it tuned with P.V. Looking to squeeze a little more out of it.

The TTS-250 would be a good cam for what you want. I notice that with the RS468 your power is peaking at about 5750 rpm. The TTS-250 should extend that to 6500-7000 rpm and your torque and hp should continue with the rpm.

You should also look at going to a chain drive, a rear slick tire, possibly a Baker Grudge Box transmission and a wheelie bar. With the power you are making low 9's - high 8's are not out of reach. Another thing you'll probably want to do is start finding ways to lighten the weight of the bike (and possibly the rider).

Hard to answer as most of your dyno chart just shows as a black patch. The TTS 250 cam is a mid to high RPM camshaft design that will out run the SE 515 cam all day long. If you are not looking for the high RPM area so much and are into daily ride a bagger the TTS 200 maybe a better match for you.

Here's a chart from Steve's website, mastertune.net for a TTS-200 in a StageIV. It is probably just what you are looking for.

It comes on way better on the lower end than yours does and makes more power.

thanks steve I will try to repost graph.
the 515 in it now doesn’t build tq until 3k and peaks at about 4.5 is that about what I would expect from the 250? Bike is a fatbob so a bit lighter than a bagger and I’m definitely a ride it like I stole it kind of guy. No problem down shifting and grabbing big handfuls of throttle.
