Johhny,
I didnt have any isues with the bars hitting the fairing on my '17 Ultra Limited. Keep in mind, you have skme flexibility with rolling the bars away from the fairing. I installed the 10" bars with no issues. Hardsst part was feeding the wires. Good luck

Well, I didn't have any issues and have the bars rolled to where they are comfortable for the RGU. I can't really open the glove boxes without turning the handlebars one way or the other, but that's the only issue. Bars feel great and make me want to ride hard!

Yaffe Sport Monkey Bars on FLHRXS.
Love 'em! Much more comfortable and better looking than stock bars. Yaffe was a joy to deal with. Brady was extremely helpful. He pre-wired bars and shipped them to me. This made install a breeze. Yaffe is one of the best.

Really like you bike! I own one myself in Red Pepper. This is a very informative thread as I am considering the same bars for the same reason most have expressed. Couple of questions; is there any fairing interference with full turn left or right. Do they limit access to the storage compartments. Taken any long rides with them and if so how do you like them. I know comfort is subjective but what is your opinion. I also noticed the color matched pillion plug in your rear fender. Is this something you painted or purchased. I ride solo 99% of the time and have the black plastic HD one installed.

Default need for standard control clamps or not

On Yaffe's website they mention the following:
NOTE: 2015 and later Road Glide Ultras and CVO Road Glides will require the purchase of the standard control clamps from your H-D Dealer

Any idea why that would be required???

I've been running them for 2 years now on my 18 RGS, love them!!

they do not hit anything, though if you rolled them all the way forward you can get them to hit.

No, mine fit right up without changing the clamp. I'm pretty sure the 16 CVO had the pin in the opposite side but mine worked no problem. Maybe looking at the wrong bars, as they have different versions and that one was for pre-rushmore bikes.

I didn't lower my fairing on my roadglide special but I did learn to open the glove boxes only when the bars were turned since they won't open without hitting the bars. I ran a couple LRS shields in heights above 12 inch but found using the stock shield worked the best for me.
