I may be wrong but I think Cooky has aftermarket tuner on his bike which everyone say's "voids the warranty". In his case, the issue did not affect his.
Cooky, can you elaborate?

As you say you're new to the party, so you don't realize that anything positive he may have contributed here has been far overshadowed by personal attacks, childish name-calling (eg. "twinkie-loving butthurt phag" to quote one of his favorites) and just a general refusal to believe anyone who has had any sort of problem with their M8 bike.

I now own an M8 myself, but that doesn't mean that any problems I have with it won't be reported here. To do anything else would be a disservice to my fellow M8 owners and anyone contemplating the purchase of one.

He's in Australia. Only in the US is the auto-void a thing. Everywhere else, while its still on the books in official policy, they aren't under the jurisdiction of the EPA so they don't enforce, the same way it was here in the US prior to 2017...

That's fine, and as I said, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But until I have personal experience to make me dislike someone, I'll choose to remain open minded. As is the case here.

Incorrect. Same situation exists in Canada, as H-D chose to enforce the same policy here.

I'd say since HD's emissions standards is based upon EU (Euro-4; in 2020 they go to Euro-5) and not the EPA then it applies everywhere.

It's not about meeting emissions regulations, it's about the EPA suing Harley and a USA federal court decree telling the USA division that they must void the warranty on any 2017+ model that's been flashed by an aftermarket tuner.

Since that decree is only binding on the USA, it raises the question of whether or not Harley will void warranties in other territories that are not subject to the USA court's jurisdiction.
