I kind of doubt it as the suction pump is a larger capacity with changed scavenge levels to boot. Old suction has 10 lobes and the new is an 8 lobe. It states the feed side is unchanged. My only fear is that it may also need a new cam plate but its not called out in the MY 20 Technical Profiles. So, since it say no change on the feed side, we may get away with the old cam plate but who knows for sure until it get tried.

I've been reading this thread got half way thru it. Can't believe the BS you guys are going thru on a bike that's that expensive to own. I'll never buy a MC from HD that's newer than 98 and I'll never own EFI. crazy the crap harley is putting out for 30k n gettin paid!!

Just curious... How do you know the other 99% do not have issues? Have you received maintenance records from every HD shop and Indy on all bikes to compare that info with who is a member of this forum? I'm not saying that this forum is a small example of the full picture, but don't insinuate that every other bike out there that isn't a member of the HDForums has not had an issue.. Just Saying... Ride Safe

Well count yourself lucky as I own 2 that both transfer, HD has not been will to do the right thing yet, on either of them. Since they are '17's and the warranty has ran out, even though both are fully documented from less than 200 miles on both of them! Neither had the warranty void just the two years ran out and they never fixed them, now they want me to pay to try the vent fix. Needless to say they are the last ones I will buy.

The way I look at it, is those with problems are unlucky. I honestly believe that the vast majority of bikes are not experiencing problems. Dealer where I know a principal personally, hasn't had a single bike in for sumping and only one for transfer. Out of the hundreds of M8 touring bikes sold there, I see that as the norm.
But that's just the way I'm looking at it, based on my experience.
