best advice I can give is take a grinder to the hole that is inside the fairing, down by the clamps. Make the hole in the new bars bigger, and take the edges off of it so that it isn't sharp. This is hidden when everything is back together and it makes pulling much easier.

Same here. LA Choppers on my 14 and on my 19. I used the wire extension. You can watch the video posted by Quick to get the slack for the brake and clutch cables.

I would recommend removing the tank for access to the button panel and I would remove the fender (4 bolts) to avoid any accidental damage, they are terribly expensive. I am speaking from experience.

I took my plugs apart to make it easier to run the wires. Some say you don't have to, I did it anyway since I already have the experience doing that and it was no big deal.

I opened up the whole on the bottom of the bars to make it a little easier getting the wires out..

Just want to say thanks for all the tips and advice, finished up this evening. Followed the factory 47 video and had plenty of length for the 12” bars without needing cables or wire extensions. I did replace bushings with poly and drilled and tapped factory clamp with a set screw. All good and rolling again. Took probably 7 hours total, taking my time. Toughest part for me was de pinning connectors. Thanks again all for the help.
